Emirates Business Machines (EBM) worked with partners from SUSE to welcome 50 people to SUSExchange, an invitation-only event for technology business executives at Top Golf, part of Emirates Golf Club in Dubai.

According to the SUSE website, SUSExchange events have a high-level, strategy-focused agenda that outlines the business value and practical application of the latest Infrastructure and Cloud-native technologies.

The link between EBM and SUSE is an important and strategic business development for EBM. “In sight of the new era of open source, enterprise companies are adapting more containerized approach and for this EBM has engaged in a partnership agreement with SUSE” said Raed Dabbous, EBM Branch Manager.

The afternoon and evening activity began with Registration and a welcome from Amr Marzouk and Ammar Halabi from SUSE. Then Ahmed Shawki, Account Manager, SUSE, presented about ‘The Future of Containers.’ Jad el Farran, Sales Manager at EBM, followed, speaking about the Digital Transformation Journey for businesses.

‘Containers, Zero Trust Security at SUSE’ was the next subject, explored by Ahmed Shawki from the SUSE team. The event was closed with a discussion and final remarks from the SUSE and EBM teams, then there was a testing golf activity followed by a networking dinner.

On the EBM LinkedIn profile, the company thanked everyone for their efforts in this way: ‘A big thank you for all the customers and partners that showed up today. Also, thank you Jad El Farran and Ahmed Shawki for a very interactive and insightful session. Looking forward to more successful events!’
