Hewlett Packard Enterprise operated by Selectium Nigeria was a Technology Focus Group Partner at the IDC West Africa CIO Summit 2022 which took place on June 16 at the The Four Points by Sheraton hotel in Lagos, Nigeria.
The International Data Corporation (IDC) CIO Summit aimed to convene, collaborate, connect, and inspire CIO’s in the region as the industry explores accelerating the journey to a Digital-First World.
Now in its 15th year, the IDC’s CIO Summit Series is the foremost gathering of CIOs, providing a number of platforms for sharing ideas and advisory services to better assist C-suite leaders in their jobs, as well as establishing a peer-to-peer community.
The Summit explored the country’s changing technology landscape and speakers presented strategies to help organizations evolve into digitally resilient enterprises and secure their rightful place in the ‘Next Normal’. Selectium’s Country Manager (Nigeria), Ifeyinwa Kojo, was in attendance as a speaker and gave a presentation on ‘The Cloud that Comes to You.’

This year’s event featured three core sessions and panel discussions on:
- From Secure to Trusted: A Journey to Digital Leadership, Cloud Computing.
- The Springboard for Digital Transformation.
- The Convergence of 5G, IOT and Edge: Preparing for a Digital Quantum Leap (TBC).
On the Summit website, IDC summed up the digital transformation challenges in the country in this way – “As the definition of the New Normal continues to evolve, so does the shape of tomorrow’s digital enterprise. Organizations are digitally adapting as they encounter unprecedented challenges and a long road to recovery, with acceleration and resiliency emerging as key differentiators in a changing world.”
