K-tuin continues retail expansion with new APP store in Andorra

Leading Spanish Apple Premium Reseller K-tuin has continued its retail expansion with the opening on August 10 of a new APP store in Andorra.  The store, at Avenida Meritxell 48, is on the main street of Andorra la Vella, the capital of Andorra, and is a relocation of an APR that opened in 2012 but in a less customer-friendly part of that city route.

As an APP, the store has the important clean, beautiful design and the high standards of service customers have come to expect from premium-level Apple stores. The store also has extensive facilities including servicing, customers’ workshops, one-to-one sessions and, of course, Apple experts to help customers.

The opening event was like other recent K-tuin retail unveilings in Barcelona and Palma – in this case approximately 400 people were waiting in the line to see the new store as the ribbon was cut to formally open the site. There were gifts and special offers for lucky Apple fans including an iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro raffle and Apple Trivia games (questions about Apple products) for the patient people waiting in the queue, with prizes for winners of accessories for Apple products.

“We are very excited to open our third APP this year, the first here in Andorra. With this amazing new store, we will be the best place to see, try and buy Apple products in Andorra. We also want to thank all the people who have come to celebrate with us this store opening, despite the high temperatures. The reception has been amazing” said Juan Fernandez, Marketing Manager at K-tuin.

“We also had John Holt, a well-known local DJ who played music during the opening. Without a doubt it was a big event in the city. What customers liked the most was the excellent design and spaciousness of the store, which is by far the best Apple center in the country – and the only APP” added Juan Fernandez.

Andorra is a very small country in the middle of the Pyrenees between Spain and France. Although it’s diminutive, it has important commercial activity due to the millions of visitors that the country receives all year, mainly from Spain and France. In 2022 K-tuin opened a second store in Andorra, an AR inside the Epizen Shopping Center.

The store occupies two floors of the building – the lower floor level is the customer-focused store with the whole range of Apple devices and retail services, and on the first floor there are offices and a dedicated space for B2B sales and events. Store manager Bruno Do Santos has a skilled team of seven Apple experts on site.

K-tuin also recently acquired the Apple Premium Reseller, Banana Computer, with a network of four retail outlets across the Canary Islands. Two of the Apple Premium Reseller sites are located in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, with two further stores in Tenerife, one in the capital, Santa Cruz, and the other in La Laguna.

K-tuin was founded in 1994 by Juan Fabre. This young man from Aragon discovered his passion for technology when the meat management program was computerized in the bar-restaurant where he worked. The first store opened in Madrid and dozens of openings followed. K-tuin was the first Spanish company to become an Apple Premium Reseller, the highest classification among Apple resellers.
