Mideast Data Systems Oman selected by Ooredoo Oman for major Data Center project

Mideast Data Systems Oman has been selected by Ooredoo Oman to implement its Strategic Data Center Expansion with 300 racks.
On their LinkedIn profile, Mideast Data Systems Oman said “This was one of the largest Data Center projects undertaken in Oman and we are delighted for having been chosen to implement it. Stage 1 of the project is in progress amidst these challenging times due to the COVID-19 pandemic.”
The Ooredoo Data Centre in Bawshar is part of the telecom company’s efforts to develop a modern infrastructure able to deal with the requirements of the rapidly-growing demand for hosting and digital data processing.
“The Sultanate is working hard to promote the development of the digital economy as set out in the Oman 2040 Vision, and the telecom industry has a really important role to play. Our new Data Centre will be a gateway to this digital transformation,” said Ahmed Al Abri, Chief Technology & Information Officer at Ooredoo, quoted on their website.
“We have adopted the highest international standards to provide integrated services aimed at enhancing company efficiency in operation and services delivery.”
