New strategic partnerships mark Midis Group affiliates’ success at GITEX Africa
Key representatives showcased Midis’ presence in this dynamic and expanding region along with its Local Office expertise in representing leading global vendors
Midis Group Local Office affiliates emphasised the value of their presence at GITEX Africa with the signing of a significant number of new partnerships and MoU’s, as well as announcing important new agreements.
The affiliate companies had a prominent presence at the major event in Morocco, which took place from April 14 to 16. Key representatives from the Group showcased Midis’ presence in this dynamic and expanding region, along with its Local Office expertise in representing leading global vendors.
HPE operated by Selectium, VMWare by Broadcom, Citrix and Cohesity (previously Veritas), were the key Midis Group entities at the event, along with IBM operated by MIBB, Quest, Kyriba, Ivanti, Arctera and Barracuda.
Mindware and Broadcom announced the signing of an important agreement during the event. Since the launch of GITEX Africa in 2023, Mindware has been an active participant, demonstrating its commitment to technological innovation and digital transformation across the region. “We proudly signed a strategic partnership with MBCOM Technologies, Broadcom Representative for the distribution of VMware solutions — the global leader in IT environment virtualization. The Citrix team were busy on day one at GITEX Africa, signing a significant milestone MoU with Ingram Micro North Africa, solidifying the partnership in Levant & North Africa. This game-changing Alliance sets the stage for unprecedented growth and customer success by delivering innovation Digital Workspace Solution to customers across the region. “Together we are enroute to inking a legacy that will redefine the Digital Workspace domain forever,” a spokesperson posted on LinkedIn.
Ingram Micro and Ivanti signed a deal at Gitex Africa with Ingram Micro North Africa. At the event, Ivanti unveiled its innovative solutions designed to help organizations elevate their digital transformation journey and operate securely, efficiently, and cost-effectively in the modern hybrid work environment. Ivanti and Ingram Micro are teaming up to deliver smarter, more secure IT experiences across the region.
The Barracuda Networks team at GITEX were excited to announce the signing of a distribution agreement with MITSUMI Distribution covering East and West Africa. At GITEX, Barracuda showcased their cutting-edge solutions in Extended Detection and Response (XDR), Email Security, Network Security, and Data Security.

News emerged during GITEX Africa that IBM has engaged MIBB International (an affiliate of Midis Group) in an Alternative Operating Agreement for parts of Africa. The MIBB International team will take responsibility for business across territories in Africa from 1st April 2025. IBM operated by MIBB are investing and deploying further dedicated sales, technical and channel management resources within the territory, with specialist skills to support partners and customers. As a result, IBM and its partner community will see greater focus, agility and support.
IBM operated by MIBB’s goal is to maintain strong presence across the territories, and the company will engage with key distributors, partners and customers to drive a seamless transition and maximise the value that customers experience from their IBM Solutions.
The team at Kyriba were thrilled to announce a new partnership with Tectra at GITEX Africa. This collaboration marks a significant step forward in delivering innovative financial solutions and empowering organizations to optimize their treasury and finance operations.
Mohamed-Samir Hafiz led the win as Tectra, one of Morocco’s largest manpower firms managing 35,000+ contractors, chose Kyriba for its treasury transformation, beating fierce competition from Sage XRT.
